We'll set off by bus to Kutná Hora, located around an hour’s drive away from the capital of the Czech Republic.
In our first stop, you will visit Kutná Hora’s Sedlec Ossuary, or “bone church”, which is one of the most well-known burial grounds in the world. The decoration of this chapel consists of more than 40,000 human bones, such as a chandelier, a Schwarzenberg coat of arms, etc.
Kutná Hora was the center of silver mining in the Middle Ages and was the second richest city in the Kingdom of Bohemia. Walking through Kutná Hora, you will visit not only the Gothic Cathedral of St. Barbara, but you will also see many beautiful Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque townhouses and a unique stone fountain from the 15th century. Amongst the other historical landmarks we'll get to explore are the Church of St. James, Hradek Castle, the Plague Column and the Jesuit College.
After the walk, you will have 90 minutes of free time according to your preferences.
